Dr. Mark Hester, a professor in the Department of Biology, as been awarded an NSF DEB RUI-Collaborative grant titled “The Influence of Mangrove Invasion and Rising Temperatures on Belowground Processes in Coastal Ecosystems” for $341,469 for a period of three years.  The total collaborative award is $890,396 and is led by Villanova University with collaborators from the University of South Carolina, Smithsonian Institution, NOAA, USFWS, and NASA.
