Congratulations to Sanjana Banerjee (a ICaWR Doctoral Fellow) was awarded 3rd place graduate student poster at the State of the Coast awards ceremony in New Orleans. This meeting had over 1,000 attendees from 30 states and 3 countries.  Ms. Banerjee's poster highlighted research that she accomplished in her first year as an ICaWR Doctoral Fellow under the guidance of Paul Klerks entitled "Ecotoxicological Consequences and Potential for Pollution Biomonitoring of the Introduction of the Channeled Apple Snail Pomacea Canaliculata in Louisiana".

UL Lafayette and ICaWR were well represented at this meeting.  This was also the first time that ICaWR had a booth at a scientific conference, which generated considerable interest from funding agencies and policy makers.
