1Qualified students should take MATH 270 and 301 in lieu of MATH 109 and 250. 2Must be approved by the student's academic advisor. 3BHSC Elective must be chosen from ANTH, ECON, GEOG, POLS,PSYC, or SOCI 4A minimum of 45 hours of 300-400 level courses must be taken to meet graduation requirements. 55Students interested in certification as a wildlife or fisheries biologist should take two courses from the following: BIOL 406, BLAW 435, ECON 404, PHIL 316, POLS 340, 350, 442, RRES 483 and SOCI 325. 6Students interested in attending graduate school in biology can substitute CHEM 232 and 234. 7BIOL 403 or 463 or 480 may be substituted for BIOL 261. 8BIOL 325 may be substituted with BIOL 404 or 326 with approval of advisor. 99Must be chosen from PHYS 208, CIVE 322, 429, GEOL 355, 450, 451 or 470. Students interested in attending graduate school in biology should take PHYS 208. 10Two more specialized courses, chosen from BIOL 308, 333, 461, 463, 433, and 485 may be substituted for BIOL 306. 11Two more specialized courses, chosen from BIOL 301, 336, 405, 445, and 437, may be substituted for BIOL 201 12Must be chosen from BIOL 309, 315, 344, 406, 407, 412, 441, 444, 447, 461, or 487. 13Two more specialized courses, combining either BIOL 351 or 488, with either BIOL 321 or 422, may be substituted for BIOL 319. 14Must be chosen from GIS 315, BIOL 410, 417, 418, 453/454, GEOL 475, 490, or RRES 484, 486. 15Must be chosen from advisor-approved list of DANC, MUS, THEA, or VIAR courses. 16Students interested in certification as a wildlife biologist should take a course in communication: CMCN 200, 310, 311, 320, or ENGL 465. 17Must be chosen from STAT 214 or 427. 18To be taken from BSAT 205 or any CMPS course unless GIS 315, or STAT 427 have been taken. 19Must be selected from AHBS (PHIL 342 is recommended for students who plan to enter a graduate program in biology). | |||
