Science on the Bayou
Please join us for the next Science on the Bayou on Tuesday, Nov 20th at the Jefferson Street Pub in downtown Lafayette for a night of learning about the geologic history of our own Lake Martin and how some bacteria make their way in lake (and other!) magnetic environments. We'll be joined by two UL Lafayette faculty:
"The History of Lake Martin Through Sediment Cores"
Dr. Aubrey Hillman, Assistant Professor, UL Lafayette School of Geosciences
"Magnetic bacteria: nature’s primordial nanotechnology for navigation"
Dr. Michalis Charilaou, Assistant Professor, UL Lafayette Dept. of Physics
As always, please come a bit early to enjoy a happy hour beverage with your fellow lovers of science, and stick around for talks beginning at 7 pm. Hope to see you there!
P.S. Remember to keep up with all things Science on the Bayou on our Facebook page.
