Behavioral Science Electives

Behavioral Science electives must be chosen from ANTH, CJUS, ECON, GEOG, POLS, PSYC, or SOCI. The following are acceptable courses (others may also be acceptable; check with your advisor). At least one Behavioral Science course must be at the 200-level or above. Keep in mind that a minimum of 45 hours of 300- and 400-level courses must be taken to meet graduation requirements.

Anthropology

  • ANTH 201: Cultural Anthropology, 3 credit hours
  • ANTH 202: Physical Anthropology, 3 credit hours
  • ANTH 460: Medical Anthropology, 3 credit hours

Criminal Justice

  • CJUS 101: Introduction to Criminal Justice, 3 credit hours
  • CJUS 301:Introduction to Research Methods, 3 credit hours

Economics

  • ECON 300: Fundamentals of Economics, 3 credit hours
  • ECON 330: Managerial Economics (prereq ECON 300), 3 credit hours
  • ECON 340: Economics of Art and Culture (prereq ECON 300), 3 credit hours

Geography

  • Any 100-400 level course
  • GEOG 350: Louisiana, 3 credit hours

Political Science

  • Any 100-400 level course

Psychology

  • PSYC 110: Intro to Psychology, 3 credit hours
  • PSYC 311: Child Psychology, 3 credit hours
  • PSYC 312: Adolescent Psychology, 3 credit hours
  • PSYC 313: Life-Span Development, 3 credit hours
  • PSYC 425: Physiological Psychology I (Fall), 3 credit hours
